The action of the TV series 12 Monkeys takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. In the late 1990s, a deadly virus has destroyed almost the entire population of the Earth, and now those people, who have managed to survive, are hiding under the ground. James Cole – criminal, convicted of reckless conduct and disobedience to the authorities. He’ll be a guinea experimental and the first one who experience the effect of newly invented time machine. If the time travel is successful, Cole will need to get past samples of the virus and thereby to prevent a deadly catastrophe. If he will succeed with the task, all the charges against him would be dropped.
